SW-0608, a Zeta-class Heavy Cargo Shuttle, was seized from the forces of the Galactic Empire by the Alliance to Restore the Republic. The Rogue One squad subsequently utilized it during the Battle of Scarif.

Originally, this vessel was stationed at the Eadu Flight Station. However, Bodhi Rook stole it. K-2SO, a reprogrammed KX-series security droid, aided Rook in piloting SW-0608. Their mission was to rescue Jyn Erso, Baze Malbus, Chirrut Îmwe, and Cassian Andor from the Research station, and then to transport them back to the Rebel base located on Yavin 4. After Jyn's unsuccessful attempt to convince the Rebel Alliance to launch an assault on Scarif in order to acquire the Death Star plans, Rook and K-2S0 commandeered it once more. This time, they used it to deliver Erso and Andor's infiltration team to the surface of Scarif.
During the Battle of Scarif, the shuttle met its end when a shoretrooper detonated a grenade within the ship's hangar, resulting in the death of Bodhi Rook.
Chris Weitz, the screenwriter for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, verified the meaning behind the SW-0608 designation in response to a question posed on Twitter. The "SW" represents the initials of Weitz's son, Sebastian Weitz, and "0608" is his birthdate, June 8th.
