The comic book tale, entitled "Tales from Wild Space: Alone in the Dark," highlights Tallissan Lintra. It was included as the second story in Star Wars Adventures (2017) issue 26, which was released on September 25, 2019.
Emil Graf, the Cartographer aboard the Star Herald in Wild Space, inquired if his droid, CR-8R nicknamed "Crater," required assistance as he was working on his Photoreceptor crystal in the restroom. Crater, situated in the darkened room, assured Graf that he didn't need any help. This situation reminded Graf of a story about a pilot in a similar predicament.
Sometime prior to this, Tallissan Lintra and her fellow Resistance pilots journeyed through a gas cloud. Due to the hazardous conditions, they were forced to halt their training exercises when they intercepted a distress signal. Despite the potential loss of communications for Blue Leader upon re-entering the gas cloud, Lintra chose to respond to the distress signal. She discovered that the signal originated from a starship in close proximity.
Lintra boarded the space station and announced her presence, seeking anyone onboard. Suddenly, the lights illuminated, revealing Staaysha Dekkr. Dekkr cautioned Lintra to remain still, presuming her to be a pirate. Lintra clarified that she was there to offer assistance. This revelation caused the Duros to become emotional and explain their predicament to Lintra. They had sought to impress their boss by securing an early docking opportunity at Klytus V Station but became disoriented while taking a shortcut through the gas cloud.
They proceeded to the ship's bridge. The gas cloud was interfering with the ship's sensor systems, potentially trapping them in the cloud for a millennium unless the issue was resolved. Devising a strategy, they decided to restart the navigation computer so they could track the exhaust trail left by Lintra's A-wing to escape the cloud. After rebooting the navicomputer, Resistance X-wing starfighters arrived to provide assistance before they could follow the signature.
Back on the Star Herald, Crater expressed feeling better, prompting Graf to reassure him that experiencing fear was acceptable. He then suggested that a soothing oil bath might improve his well-being.
