Talus Group, named after the planet of Talus, was a battle group within the New Republic that formed after the Battle of Endor. This group was involved in the Battle of Yavin Prime during the period of the Galactic Civil War.
This battle group, known as Talus Group, was part of the New Republic Defense Fleet. It included at least one CR90 corvette, identifiable by its green stripes, and operated under the callsign of Talus Leader. Their starfighter contingent was made up of RZ-1 A-wing interceptors along with T-65B X-wing starfighters, all distinguished by red stripes.
Talus Group took part in the Battle of Yavin Prime four years following the destruction of Alderaan. The battle led to significant losses for Talus Group, but also resulted in the New Republic successfully commandeering the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Victorum, a feat accomplished with assistance from Captain Wedge Antilles and Vanguard Squadron.
