Taramyn Barcona, a male human, began his career as a stormtrooper within the Galactic Empire's Stormtrooper Corps. He later defected, joining a rebel team tasked with a mission on the planet of Aldhani, becoming a rebel soldier.
Initially, Taramyn Barcona, a male human, served the Galactic Empire as a stormtrooper. He eventually left this role, being recruited into the Axis network as a rebel by Kleya Marki.
Subsequently, Barcona joined Vel Sartha's team, dispatched to the planet Aldhani for a mission: the robbery of the Aldhani Garrison. Three days prior to the planned operation, Sartha returned to their base with a new recruit, introduced as Clem, who was actually Cassian Andor. Barcona, alongside fellow rebel Arvel Skeen, grew uneasy about the sudden appearance of a stranger so close to their mission. When Barcona tried to voice his concerns to Sartha, she quickly dismissed them. Later, Barcona and Skeen questioned Sartha about her connection to the new recruit. Sartha admitted she didn't know him, but insisted his presence was necessary for the mission's success.
Lieutenant Gorn, their Imperial informant at the garrison, also expressed displeasure upon arriving at the camp. However, Sartha reassured him before Barcona and the others convened to review their strategy. The following day, the rest of the team—Andor, Skeen, Karis Nemik, and Cinta Kaz—gathered for training. Barcona instructed Skeen, Nemik, and Andor on how to imitate the gait of Imperial soldiers, as they would be infiltrating the base in disguise. When Andor suggested that Barcona, being right-handed, should switch positions with the left-handed Skeen, Barcona initially dismissed the idea, telling Andor to focus on the task. However, Sartha inquired about Andor's reasoning, and when he explained that weapons should be positioned on the outside for easy access, Sartha gave Barcona a stern look, prompting him to accept the suggestion.

Disguised as a corporal, Barcona spearheaded the team's initial infiltration, arriving under Gorn's watchful eye. They were then escorted inside with the Imperial commandant, Jayhold Beehaz, along with his wife and son. Once inside, they executed their plan, drawing their weapons and taking the family hostage. While Barcona held one of the hostages at gunpoint, Colonel Soden Petigar retaliated by aiming his weapon at Nemik, demanding the child's release. At that moment, Sartha and Kaz arrived; Kaz swiftly eliminated Petigar, enabling the group to proceed.
The team systematically advanced towards the vault, leaving Kaz to guard the commandant's family while the others escorted the commandant to the vault, as his handprint was required for access. Barcona subdued the six guards stationed in the vault before assisting in loading the credits onto the freighter. Gorn arrived shortly after, but moments later, a squad of Imperials, led by Corporal Kimzi, who had discovered the infiltration, also appeared. Kimzi fatally shot Gorn, triggering a firefight. When Barcona attempted to aid Sartha, who was pinned down and unable to reach the freighter, he instructed Skeen to provide cover. However, Skeen failed to protect him, and Barcona was incapacitated. Sartha, Skeen, Nemik, and Andor managed to escape on the freighter, although Nemik succumbed to injuries sustained during takeoff. Meanwhile, Kaz, in disguise, made his escape via an alternate route.
Standing tall with black hair and a mustache, Barcona was a human male. His leadership qualities were evident when he was entrusted with the group's command during Sartha's absence as she carried out her part of the plan. He regarded Cassian Andor's arrival with suspicion, demanding information about him when Sartha introduced him to the group. Barcona was right-handed.
His background as a stormtrooper equipped Barcona with a strong understanding of military protocols, encompassing marching formations, signaling techniques, and command intonation. He expected discipline from his fellow rebels and maintained a strict leadership style.
Gershwyn Eustache Jnr portrayed Taramyn Barcona in the Andor television series. A 2023 Topps Star Wars card mistakenly identified Aldhani as Barcona's homeworld, a detail later corrected by Lucasfilm Story Group member Pablo Hidalgo.
