TB-2 functioned as a 2-1B surgical droid for the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars, serving as a medic on the freighter called Twilight. Initially existing as a hologram, TB-2 was later transferred into a physical droid body, continuing their medical duties on the Jedi General Anakin Skywalker's freighter and also aboard his Republic Star Destroyer, the Resolute.

Following the Battle of Teth, Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano used a hologram to consult with TB-2, seeking a diagnosis for the ailing Huttlet named Rotta. After the Battle of Abregado, which resulted in the rescue of Jedi Master Plo Koon, along with Wolffe, Sergeant Sinker, and Boost, TB-2 provided medical care to the injured clone troopers on the Twilight, stabilizing them so they could be moved to a Pelta-class frigate. During the [Battle of Ryloth](/article/battle_of_ryloth], TB-2 was stationed on the Venator-class Star Destroyer Resolute, where he was instrumental in treating Admiral Wullf Yularen after he sustained injuries during the effort to overcome the planet's blockade.
The voice of TB-2 was provided by Tim Brock, who was credited as "medical droid" in the episode called "Rising Malevolence."
