Time for Flatcakes, a racing fathier who was both deaf and blind, was a male offspring of Kreegah. This fathier resided at the Canto Bight racetrack located on the planet of Cantonica. During the Cold War era conflict between the First Order and the Resistance, he was acquired by the Suerton gamblers known as the Lucky Three, acting on behalf of their associate Kaljach Sonmi. Not long after this acquisition, Time for Flatcakes competed in a race. Heavily dosed with medication by his former owner, he surprisingly secured a victory; however, the exertion resulted in his immediate death. The fathier's name originated from flatcakes, which are a kind of food.
The character Time for Flatcakes was initially introduced in the short story titled "The Ride." This story was penned by John Jackson Miller and was included in the Canto Bight anthology, which became available on December 5, 2017. The name of the fathier's father and his place of origin, Kreegah, is derived from the danger call Kreegah Bundolo featured in the tale of Tarzan.
