Tolemite

The Tolemites were a sentient species indigenous to the Wild Space planet of Tolis. These beings, who existed roughly twenty millennia prior to the High Republic Era, were deeply connected to the Force, which they revered as the Peace. During one of their expeditions, the Tolemites came across the native planet of the Force-draining entities later called the Nameless, and they brought some of these creatures back with them to Tolis. However, once removed from their original environment, the Nameless underwent a transformation, becoming corrupted by an insatiable hunger, and began preying on the Tolemites. The Nameless, along with the destructive plague known as the blight, caused the downfall of the Tolemites' civilization. The surviving Tolemites, in response, built three rods utilizing Echo Stones; these were then used by the Three Ancients to exert control over the Nameless, ultimately guiding them back to their place of origin.

Despite their success in this endeavor, the Tolemites were reduced to a population of only a few hundred, signaling their inevitable extinction. Some Tolemites escaped aboard starships to disseminate information about what had happened, while the remaining members of the species constructed a new city on an island, which housed a repository intended to preserve their history. This new civilization of the Tolemites eventually met its end in a devastating flood, leaving their city and the historical repository submerged. Millennia later, the Tolemites had faded into the realm of legend. Jedi Knight Reath Silas and former Jedi Master Cohmac Vitus began an investigation into the Tolemites, hoping to gain insight into their knowledge of both the Nameless and the blight. The pair eventually located Tolis and journeyed there, where they discovered the Tolemites' repository.
