Tyto, a Human male who was also a clone of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett, fought as a clone commando in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. A proficient and reserved sniper clad in Katarn-class commando armor, Tyto served with Aiwha Squad towards the end of the Clone Wars, alongside fellow commandos Zag, Di'kut, and Sergeant Sarge. In 19 BBY, Tyto and his Aiwha squadmates participated in the Battle of Garqi, where their mission was to locate civilian refugees after a Republic bombing raid. Upon finding a child named Evan, the four clones escorted him to a refugee camp managed by Jedi General Traavis. It was there that the squad received the order to execute Order 66 from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, and Tyto, along with his clone brothers, opened fire on their former Jedi commander, killing Traavis.
Tyto was the designation given to a Human male clone created from the DNA of Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett. He was born on the aquatic world of Kamino, which is situated in the Wild Space region of the galaxy. Tyto's purpose was to serve as a clone commando within the ranks of the Grand Army of the Republic. Following the outbreak of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Tyto was dispatched from Kamino and integrated into active duty within the Grand Army's Special Operations Brigade, under the leadership of Jedi General Arligan Zey.
By 19 BBY, which marked the third year of the Clone Wars, Tyto held a position within Aiwha Squad, an elite special forces squad composed of clone commandos. This squad also included the commandos Zag and Di'kut, and was under the command of Sergeant Sarge. During the war's final days, Tyto and his clone comrades were deployed to the agriworld of Garqi, located in the Outer Rim. After the Republic conducted a bombing campaign targeting Separatist forces, Aiwha Squad was assigned the task of finding any survivors. While inspecting a destroyed farmhouse, Tyto and his squad discovered a young child named Evan. With his parents having died, the commandos took responsibility for escorting the boy to the nearby refugee camp. However, Evan was hesitant to accompany the clones and attempted to escape their custody, seeking to return to his damaged home. In doing so, he inadvertently encountered an OG-9 homing spider droid. Tyto and the other members of Aiwha Squad engaged the spider droid, ultimately destroying it and rescuing Evan. This act earned the young boy's trust and respect.

As darkness enveloped the Garqian landscape, Tyto was given the responsibility of scouting a suitable location for their campsite. After settling in, he joined his brothers and the orphaned boy around a campfire, where Sarge dedicated some time to explaining the life of a clone trooper to the inquisitive young boy. When the sun emerged the next morning, Tyto and the others continued their journey until they arrived at the refugee encampment, which was overseen by Jedi General Traavis. The Jedi Master commended Aiwha Squad's commandos for their efforts and informed them of the demise of General Grievous—the Supreme Commander of the Separatist Droid Army—at the hands of Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, the positive news was short-lived, as Order 66 was issued. This order was one of the one hundred and fifty contingency orders for the Grand Army, specifying that the Jedi had been declared traitors to the Republic and were to be executed on sight. Having received the order directly from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, Sarge instructed the squad to open fire on General Traavis. Tyto and his squadmates complied, shooting and killing the Jedi General as per the Chancellor's command.
Tyto possessed a quiet nature, which contrasted sharply with his Aiwha Squad comrade, Di'kut, who was known for his sarcastic and talkative demeanor. Unlike many clones who preferred to be clean-shaven, Tyto maintained a well-groomed mustache and beard. Furthermore, his right bicep was adorned with a black-colored tattoo depicting a Mandalorian mythosaur skull. Tyto seemed to favor the color black, as he marked his Katarn-class commando armor with custom stripes of black paint. Additionally, he equipped the shoulder plates of his armor with extra rounds for his DC-17m Interchangeable Weapon System's sniper rifle attachment. Tyto favored this weapon in combat and demonstrated considerable skill as a sniper.
Tyto made his debut appearance in the 2005 comic story titled Orders, which was part of the Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures Volume 4 of the Clone Wars Adventures comic series. The Fillbach brothers, Matthew and Shawn, were responsible for drawing Tyto, and Ryan Kaufman authored the story. However, Tyto himself did not have any lines of dialogue. Interestingly, while the other clone commandos of Aiwha Squad were granted entries in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, Tyto was not similarly included in the 2008 reference book.
