A member belonging to the House of Tagge, as recounted by their kin, the human Ronen Tagge, existed numerous generations prior to 3 ABY. This individual, at some juncture, obtained the Ring of Immortality—a component of the collection of relics referred to as the Rings of Vaale—which, as legend dictates, guaranteed everlasting life to its user if worn in conjunction with the other Ring of Vaale, namely the Ring of Fortune. The latter ring was said to grant unbelievable fortune and boundless power, and was acquired from a well-known space pirate of ill-repute.
By the time 3 ABY arrived, Tagge was in possession of the ring. During that year, he shared the narrative of the Ring of Immortality—detailing its acquisition by his ancestor from the pirate—with the team working alongside the renegade archaeology expert Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra.
The mention of the House of Tagge member occurred within the fifth edition of the 2020 illustrated story series titled Star Wars: Doctor Aphra. Alyssa Wong penned the story, and Marvel Comics released it to the public on October 28, 2020.
