During the era of the Galactic Civil War, a male human fought for the Alliance to Restore the Republic. He held the rank of captain aboard the MC80 Star Cruiser named Invincible Faith. Before the Battle of Endor took place, this captain tried to convince Iden Versio, the captured Commander from Imperial Special Forces, to switch sides and join the Alliance, explaining that although the Empire was doomed, she didn't need to fall with it. She turned him down and escaped custody not long after this conversation. Nonetheless, Versio eventually joined the Alliance after witnessing the Empire's attack on her own homeworld as a component of Emperor Palpatine's posthumous act of revenge. Then, a year following her meeting with the captain, she repeated his words when trying to persuade her father to abandon the Empire.
