This stormtrooper, a male human member of the Stormtrooper Corps, was present five years prior to the Battle of Yavin. During the rebel crew of the Ghost's mission to free Wookiee prisoners, this particular member was positioned within the spice mines located on the planet Kessel. He made an attempt to seize Kitwarr, a youthful Wookiee slave, but Ezra Bridger intervened, launching an energy slingshot at the stormtrooper, causing him to fall over a railing. While clinging to a support pillar, he inquired of Agent Kallus – who had also been propelled over the railing by a ricochet from his own blaster, courtesy of Kanan Jarrus's deflection into his armor – if Jarrus was the first Jedi the agent had ever faced. Kallus responded by kicking the trooper from the pillar, sending him down into the mines.
