On Alaris Prime's moon, a base was established by Wookiee settlers not far from a Trade Federation outpost. This strategic location provided access to crucial resources like ore, food, carbon, and nova crystals. Initially, the base consisted of three prefab shelters, a command center, and an animal nursery; however, it was expanded to include military structures and resource storage facilities. Notably, a shipyard was constructed along the banks of a river, where transport ships were built and utilized in an attack against the Trade Federation outpost.

This particular base was one of several built by Wookiee personnel on the moon of Alaris Prime. The original design of the base featured a command center as its core, accompanied by a row of trees on its northern side, an animal nursery situated near the command center, and three prefab shelters. The base grew to accommodate at least twenty-nine Wookiees in numerous prefab shelters, along with facilities such as a food processing center, a carbon processing center, a nova processing center, an ore processing center, multiple farms and troop centers, a mech factory, and a shipyard for aquatic vessels located on the river to the base's west. A minimum of one power core provided energy to the buildings, and at least one sentry post was erected in the expansive area to the north. The surrounding area was abundant with resources, including muja fruit bushes, nerf animals, and small deposits of nova crystal and ore.
This base was constructed during the period between 39 BBY and 36 BBY, coinciding with a war between Wookiee colonists and the Trade Federation over the right to colonize Alaris Prime. Its location was strategically chosen to be near a Trade Federation outpost, which the Wookiee leader Chewbacca intended to destroy. Chewbacca and two Wookiee workers were present during the initial setup, with Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, serving as an advisor to the Wookiees, requesting that they recruit an additional twelve workers to the base. One worker constructed a power core to the command center's north, while another built prefab shelters to accommodate the incoming workers. The nerfs in the vicinity were also gathered into the animal nursery.

As more workers arrived and began collecting food from fruit bushes, Jinn suggested building a processing center for more effective food storage and to support the establishment of farms within the base. Following this, a troop center was added, where two Wookiees were trained as bowcaster troopers to defend the base while Chewbacca explored the surrounding area. A shipyard was also constructed, from which a utility trawler was built to gather fish from the river. Subsequently, a sentry post was erected to the north of the base, and Jinn advised the construction of centers for storing carbon, which could be obtained from trees, nova [crystals](/article/crystal-legends], and ore.
To increase food collection, an AquaHarvester was constructed on the river near the utility trawler. Once the base's technology level had advanced sufficiently, Jinn instructed the Wookiees to build a mech factory, enabling the assembly of two HummBike speeders. Two Wookiees used these speeders to scout the open area north of the settlement but found no sign of the Trade Federation outpost, leading Jinn to conclude that it was located on the opposite side of the river. At the shipyard, a transport ship was constructed, which the speeder scouts boarded to cross the river and explore the other side. Upon locating the outpost, Jinn tasked the Wookiees with assembling an army of twelve Wookiees. This force included Chewbacca, several bowcaster troopers, dragon troopers, and grenade troopers, along with a Wookiee medical droid built at the command center. The Wookiees constructed a second troop center to improve the training efficiency of the fighting Wookiees and built enough transport ships to cross the river. Once everything was prepared, Chewbacca and his forces successfully destroyed the outpost.
The base was initially mentioned in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Prima's Official Strategy Guide by Steven L. Kent, which was released on November 7, 2001, before its appearance in the LucasArts video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, released on November 11, 2001. It served as the player's central hub in the fifth level of the tutorial campaign, titled "Exploration and Transport." At the level's beginning, the base consists of only five buildings, and the player must gather resources to construct additional buildings as per Jinn's recommendations.
The strategy guide presents some differences regarding the base compared to the final game version. Initially, Jinn recommends recruiting twelve workers, while the guide suggests that nine are sufficient. The guide also advises attacking the Trade Federation with a force of fifteen, whereas the in-game Jinn suggests at least twelve. This article assumes that the game's depiction of events is the accurate one.
