A queen from Yalbec found herself at odds with the Galactic Republic's Clone Force 99 when they were on Yalbec Prime, suppressing an insurrection during the Clone Wars. Wrecker, who was part of Clone Force 99, severed the Queen's stinger while she was still living, which prompted multiple male Yalbec to attempt to mate with the clones. After surviving this ordeal, the clones journeyed to the planet Anaxes for their next mission, where the force's leader Hunter recounted their encounter with the Queen to Cody, Jesse, Kix and Rex.
The first reference to the Queen occurred in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television show episode called "The Bad Batch." This episode was originally intended as the opening for a seventh season that was planned, but The Clone Wars was terminated before its completion or release. Subsequently, the episode's unfinished story reels were presented at Celebration Anaheim in 2015, and later made available on StarWars.com within The Clone Wars Legacy project later that year.
