The western district resided inside the city of Chaleydonia, which served as the capital of the planet known as Christophsis. During the Clone Wars in 22 BBY, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Separatist Alliance, Republic troops commanded by Jedi Generals Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi encountered little opposition when they seized the district, including its town square, amidst the engagements taking place on the planet. This happened because General Whorm Loathsom's droid army largely deserted Chaleydonia for the eastern exurbs.
The 2017 reference book Star Wars: On the Front Lines, written by Daniel Wallace, included a reference to the western district.
