Yennir of the Green was a combatant within the Republic Army during the Galactic War, a period of conflict between the Galactic Republic and the re-emergent Sith Empire. More specifically, he was a soldier. In the year 3640 BBY, Yennir joined Sergeant Shanra Immel's squad. He also fought alongside Colonel Jace Malcom during a battle that took place on Kalandis Seven. During this particular conflict, Yennir and his squad were successful in placing targeting beacons. These beacons then allowed a starfighter wing belonging to the Republic to bomb the local spaceport.
During the Galactic War, a conflict that occurred in 3640 BBY between the Galactic Republic and the re-emergent Sith Empire, Yennir of the Green fulfilled the role of a soldier within the ranks of the Republic Army. Yennir became a member of Sergeant Shanra Immel's squad and fought alongside SpecForce Colonel Jace Malcom in a battle that unfolded on Kalandis Seven. This planet in the Inner Rim was desolate and shrouded in fog. The mission given to Yennir and his squad was to destroy the local spaceport, which was under Imperial control. As the group of soldiers made their way toward the target, they were attacked, and Corporal Amden vor Keioidian suffered fatal injuries. Before ordering the squad to move on and leave Keioidian behind, Immel activated Keioidian's med tracer.
After a period of three hours, the squad finally arrived at their designated objective and began the process of planting targeting beacons. The purpose of these beacons was to enable Republic starfighters to destroy the spaceport, even with the presence of the heavy fog. Shortly after Yennir and the squad had placed the final beacon, the fighters executed a bombing run, successfully destroying the spaceport. Supreme Chancellor recalled Malcolm, who then advised the ship's captain, a Jedi Knight, that the forces stationed on Kalandis Seven would not be able to hold out for long without additional support. As the ship departed from the planet, Malcolm reviewed a datapad that contained the names of Immel's squad, including Yennir of the Green, and reflected on his attempts to save them. He then deleted the names from the datapad in preparation for the next conflict against the Sith.
The character of Yennir of the Green made an appearance, albeit only through their voice, in "The Last Battle of Colonel Jace Malcom," a short story penned by Alexander Freed. This story was featured in issue 137 of the Star Wars Insider magazine, which was released on October 23, 2012.
