Zheela
Zheela was a female Twi'lek of Rutian descent, existing during the Galactic Empire's reign. Developing a strong interest in droids, she ultimately specialized in this area, compensating for her muteness by teaching her robotic companions to understand and respond to numerous subtle gestures. Zheela also gained experience as a soldier, utilizing her technical skills and stealth abilities to great advantage.
Around the time that the second Death Star was destroyed above Endor, Zheela resided in the galaxy's Anoat sector, finding herself confined by the "Iron Blockade," which had been established by Imperial Governor Ubrik Adelhard to isolate the sector and suppress news regarding the Emperor's death. During the rebellious unrest that occurred after the blockade was put in place, the Twi'lek encountered an aspiring young smuggler hailing from the planet Burnin Konn. Zheela became a member of the smuggler's team, contributing her technical and covert capabilities, and undertaking various assignments for her new superior.
Behind the scenes
Zheela's first appearance in Star Wars canon was in the multiplayer mobile game Star Wars: Uprising, which was developed by Kabam and launched on September 10, 2015 for both iOS and Android devices. Within the game's context, Zheela serves as a potential crew member for the player's character, capable of being assigned to complete timed missions in order to obtain valuable experience and loot.
