A ZX-19 compressor functioned as a component on a starship. These compressors, during the time of the New Republic era, were thought to be usable with older Sheathipede-class transport shuttles. In 34 ABY, Hallion Nark took his Sheathipede-class transport shuttle to Yeager's Repairs located on the Colossus station so it could be repaired. Jarek Yeager, who owned the repair shop, told Kazuda Xiono, a Resistance spy who was pretending to be a mechanic, to go to the Office of Acquisitions and get a ZX-19 compressor. Xiono gave three credit chips to Flix and Orka, who owned Acquisitions, and they gave him the compressor.
Xiono arrived back at the repair shop behind schedule, which angered Yeager. Yeager then told Xiono that he needed to install the compressor without delay. Tamara Ryvora, another mechanic employed by Yeager, advised Xiono that he should turn his tool from left to right, instead of right to left, while installing the compressor.
