Bartokan V was a terrestrial planet that occupied the fifth orbital position in its star system. It was the home planet of the sentient Bonbrak species, members of which spoke the Bonbreez language. The giant Svor Clan, who worshipped the Bonbraks—known to the clan as "barat-karabak"—as gods, also resided on Bartokan V.
At one point, the clan requested that the Galactic Republic classify the barat-karabak as a protected species, a request that the government ultimately complied with. In 230 BBY, the Shani singer Crufeela told Jedi Padawan Ram Jomaram—who was friends with several Bonbraks—about the species' homeworld and the Svor Clan who lived there when the latter brought the former a Bonbrak for her to eat as part of a plan to have Crufeela removed from taking part in the annual Finance Ball on the Core Worlds planet Corellia.
Bartokan V was mentioned in the 2022 young-adult novel The High Republic: Midnight Horizon, written by Daniel José Older and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.
