"Poe's Plan" and The Last Jedi: Expanded Edition depict Poe Dameron getting the idea and permission to engage the First Order dreadnaught head-on with his X-wing only upon its arrival in the orbit of D'Qar, while Poe is standing in the bridge of the Raddus with General Leia Organa and Admiral Gial Ackbar. The comic, however, depicts Poe getting the idea and permission from Leia to engage the First Order fleet much earlier, even before its arrival, while he is standing in the operations room on D'Qar with Black Squadron and the rest of the Resistance command. Star Wars: Timelines sides with the comic's version of events. Due to its use in Timelines and the importance of Poe Dameron 28 in the grander scale of Star Wars canon, as it sets up the rest of the Poe Dameron comic series, which, in turn, sets up the novel Resistance Reborn, Wookieepedia assumes Poe Dameron 28's depiction of events take canonical priority.
