Black One

The Incom-FreiTek Corporation produced Black One, a T-70 X-wing starfighter. As with all T-70 X-wing fighters, Black One possessed four Taim & Bak KX12 laser cannons as its weaponry. Furthermore, Black One was equipped with ferrosphere paint, a feature designed to disrupt enemy missile target locks.

During the evacuation of D'Qar, an overdrive thruster was installed on Black One. BB-8 considered this starship his favorite.

During the Cold War with the First Order, Resistance Commander Poe Dameron piloted this X-wing pilot. The fighter sustained damage on multiple occasions during missions with Black Squadron: Dameron executed a crash-landing of Black One in the battle over a desert planet, rendering it inoperable for several missions until BB-8 and Ivee repaired it. When First Order Commander Malarus hijacked the fighter during the mission to Cato Neimoidia, BB-8 was compelled to crash-land Black One once more to thwart the enemy officer in the cockpit. While the fighter underwent repairs aboard the Raddus and on D'Qar, Dameron piloted a standard T-70. Eventually, BB-8 integrated a processor unit from the destroyed Ivee into the fighter.

He piloted it in both the Battle of Takodana and the Battle of Starkiller Base, utilizing it to obliterate the First Order's superweapon, Starkiller Base. Black One participated in the Evacuation of D'Qar, where Poe neutralized the Fulminatrix's defense turrets, thereby opening a route for the Resistance bombers.

During the Battle of Oetchi, Kylo Ren destroyed Black One by launching torpedoes into the starboard hangar of the Raddus from his TIE silencer.

The 2015 film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens marked the initial appearance of Black One.

In "The Final Battle," a short story adaptation of Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, Black One is used to represent Poe Dameron's X-wing fighter.
