During the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems' naval forces utilized a Lucrehulk-class battleship. Captain Mar Tuuk, a Neimoidian, commanded this vessel as his flagship. In 21 BBY, this Lucrehulk was tasked with leading the Confederacy's blockade of the planet Ryloth. A Galactic Republic fleet, under the leadership of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, challenged this blockade.
The fleet of the Republic was initially pushed back during the engagement, as the Lucrehulk gained reinforcement from six Munificent-class star frigates. However, the Republic forces came back to the Ryloth system later on, and they succeeded in destroying the Lucrehulk. The destruction was achieved by crashing the Venator-class Star Destroyer named Defender into the central control core of the Lucrehulk.
The Lucrehulk-class battleship measured 3,356.9 meters in length, 3,009 meters in width, and 1,028.77 meters in height. This vessel was powered by three Proton 2 sublight engines manufactured by Rendili StarDrive, and it had four sensor rectennas. Additionally, it featured control signal transmission towers and sixteen droid signal receiver stations equipped with signal pickup boost panels designed to reduce noise and interference. The battleship was armed with its own onboard weapon systems. It also included escape pods and communication systems that could contact a Venator-class Star Destroyer or a Munificent-class star frigate.
The droid armies of the Confederacy invaded the planet Ryloth in 22 BBY during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. This invasion led to the establishment of a blockade in orbit around the planet. Captain Mar Tuuk, a Neimoidian, commanded the Lucrehulk-class Battleship, which served as the command ship for this blockade. Six Munificent-class star frigates further strengthened the blockade.
Later, in 21 BBY, Jedi General Anakin Skywalker led a Republic fleet of three Venator-class Star Destroyers to contest the Lucrehulk and the rest of the blockade. Before the battle, Techno Union Foreman Wat Tambor contacted Tuuk aboard the Lucrehulk to inquire about the blockade's readiness for the Republic's arrival. The Neimoidian assured Tambor that their blockade was unbeatable and that the Republic would be surprised upon arrival.
Upon the arrival of Skywalker's forces, Tuuk instructed his OOM command battle droid to deploy their Vulture-class droid starfighters from the Munificent frigates against the Republic's Blue Squadron of V-19 Torrent starfighters, which was led by Skywalker's Padawan, Ahsoka Tano. While the fighters engaged, the Neimoidian examined a hologram of the Republic's flagship, the Venator-class Star Destroyer Resolute, confirming it as Skywalker's command ship. As Tuuk studied the Star Destroyer, a B1-series battle droid from the Lucrehulk's bridge crew warned that Blue Squadron was rapidly approaching. The Neimoidian ordered them to remain patient and await the Jedi's strategy.

As Tano's squadron battled the Separatist vulture droids, the Togruta Padawan commanded her fighters to initiate their attack run on the Separatist command ship. However, as Blue Squadron approached the Lucrehulk, the Neimoidian captain deployed an additional four Munificent-class frigates, which had been strategically positioned elsewhere. The Republic fleet was overwhelmed by this Separatist tactic, forcing Admiral Wullf Yularen and Skywalker to order Tano and her squadron to return to the Venators.
Despite orders, Tano persisted in her attack run on the command ship but eventually relented as the fleet was overrun by vulture droids. After returning to the Resolute, the Republic fleet retreated from the system, but not before the Redeemer, one of the three Venators, was destroyed. As the Republic fled, Tuuk's OOM commander on the Lucrehulk inquired about pursuing the retreating enemies. The Neimoidian ordered them to maintain their position, anticipating the Republic's return.
Shortly after, Tambor contacted the Lucrehulk again, inquiring about the status of the Republic's attack. Tuuk reported that their forces were in full retreat with their warships ablaze, assuring Tambor that the blockade remained intact. After ending the transmission, the Neimoidian ordered his droid commander to retrieve archive data on General Skywalker, seeking to understand the Jedi Knight's history.
After reviewing Skywalker's archive data, Tuuk remarked on his unconventional methods and instructed his bridge crew to prepare their cannons and deploy all droids to their designated stations. His droid commander, confused, questioned whether they were under attack. The Neimoidian explained that Skywalker and his fleet were likely to return, and they needed to be prepared.
This Lucrehulk-class Battleship was first featured in "Storm Over Ryloth," the nineteenth episode of the first first season of the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars', which was initially broadcast on February 27, 2009.
