White Thranta Shipping Company, also known as White Thranta Shipping, or simply White Thranta, was a small shipping company based on Tatooine during the Imperial Period. In fact, the company was a front for illegal activities of Jabba the Hutt's criminal organization.
Officially, the White Thranta Shipping Company was established by a consortium of Tatooine business owners seeking to meet a demand for secure galaxy-wide shipping. The company was specialized in shipping hazardous materials to most of the known galaxy.
The White Thranta Shipping Company had headquarters located not far outside of the city of Mos Eisley, on the planet of Tatooine. The company was ostensibly legitimate, despite it was actually a cover for Jabba the Hutt's criminal activities. A large number of security guards were hired, for security as well as to make sure no one found out what they were really doing deep in the confines of their bunker. The security personnel of the White Thranta used a modified version of a popular Sg-82 sonic rifle.

During the Galactic Civil War, the White Thranta served as a smuggling base of operations and most of the goods shipped were destined to the Alliance to Restore the Republic. People involved with the White Thranta criminal activities included Bib Fortuna, Ree-Yees, Kane Ezruud, Kaazo Barrezz, Carh'la Bastra, Kosto Maggio and Manu Rippodo.
By the time of the Battle of Yavin, members of the White Thranta Shipping Company got involved in more questionable activities. Brok Ziam and Durr Roddack started steal money to the company, that is to say to Jabba, in order to conduct medical experiments. They performed unethical experiments on sapient races in the bunker bellow the White Thranta offices, without Jabba being aware of it. In total, White Thranta had kidnapped and infected at least 41 victims for medical experiment, including Dakk Jenzik, Leon Kovalski, Tork Magzyn and a woman named Dina.
The deep recesses of the headquarters offered a glimpse of illegal experimentation in one of the complex's medical bays.
In 1 ABY, Jabba's employee Reimos Taligg figured out something went wrong in the White Thranta bunker and tasked a spacer to slice the computers of the company, eventually discovering the situation. Reimos then requested the spacer with questioning Durr Roddack. Roddack refused to cooperate, forcing the spacer to kill him. Using information found on Durr's datapad and personal computer, Reimos then discovered Brok Ziam was resposible of the complete operation. Ziam refused to surrender and was finnaly killed by the spacer.
In the meantime, a bounty hunter went to the White Thranta offices in order to execute the indebted Untas.
The White Thranta Shipping Company appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. The White Thranta Shipping Company was added to the game as part of the "Legacy Quest" with the release of the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.
In the cut quests "Opening Moves" and "Information Control," the Trandoshan Aigorn would have tasked the player with eliminating one of the medical staff in the White Thranta infirmary and steal medical data. The company is known as White Horse in game files pertaining to this quest. In another cut quest, the woman Kashi VanDeef would have requested the player to rescue her husband Pilar from the White Thranta.
