The Kage couple served as the parents to both a Kage brother and sister, the latter of whom would eventually rename herself Abda. This clan of four, including the children, made their home on the homeworld of Quarzite, where the parents provided combat instruction to their children. The son's marriage to their spouse, celebrated with a lavish wedding, proved to be a turning point. Displeased with the perceived disparity in treatment between herself and her brother, Abda chose to depart Quarzite. In 382 BBY, Abda reflected on the negative feelings she harbored towards her upbringing and her parents' emphasis on combat training.

On the crystalline planet of Quarzite, their homeworld, resided a clan that consisted of two Kage parents, a daughter, and a son. During the High Republic Era, the parents trained their children in the art of combat, adhering to the warrior traditions expected of them. At some point, the son celebrated his marriage to their spouse with a grand wedding, a celebration that the entire clan—including the parents—hosted.
Feeling slighted and believing she would never measure up to her brother in her parents' eyes, the daughter departed her homeworld on the day of her brother's wedding. She adopted the name Abda, symbolically severing ties with her past, convinced that remaining would mean conforming to the same path as her parents and brother. After joining the Path of the Open Hand cult, Abda grew to resent the perceived favoritism her parents showed towards her brother, lamenting how the galaxy often placed greater burdens on daughters.
In 382 BBY, while infiltrating a pre-wedding celebration within the royal palace on the planet E'ronoh, Abda's thoughts drifted to her brother's wedding, rekindling her distaste for such events. After being apprehended for attempting to poison the E'roni Princess Xiri A'lbaran that day, she found herself imprisoned in the Rook, the capital city of E'ronoh. When Axel Greylark, an operative of the Path of the Open Hand, attacked her with poison under the orders of Path leader the Mother, Abda desperately recalled the combat training she had received from her parents and brother to defend herself. However, Greylark succeeded in poisoning her, leading to her death.
As followers of their people's warrior traditions, the parents were highly skilled in combat. Like all Kage, they possessed eidetic memories.
Abda's parents received a mention in Convergence, a 2022 novel penned by Zoraida Córdova as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase II.
