AD-4M, also known as Aydee or the concierge, was an administrative droid responsible for handling logistical tasks at the Resistance's outpost located on the moon of Ajan Kloss. This occurred during their conflict with the First Order. Typically, this droid operated in a secluded control room. However, due to the incomplete construction of the Ajan Kloss base, it worked alongside other personnel, which led to some individuals playing practical jokes on it.
During 35 ABY, the droid was stationed at a terminal within the base, adjacent to General Leia Organa and Jedi trainee Rey, as they engaged in a discussion about the latter's training. Later, it participated in a meeting held at the base, during which intelligence concerning a new Sith fleet aiding the First Order was presented. Subsequently, it was present when the Resistance discovered that they were receiving coordinates leading to the planet of Exegol.
During the war against the First Order, AD-4M, an administrative droid also referred to as "Aydee," provided service to the Resistance. Its duties involved managing data and overseeing traffic, as well as handling logistics for various Resistance bases. While the droid was generally confined to a control room for isolation, it operated in the open among other Resistance members at the Resistance's base on the jungle moon of Ajan Kloss because the base was still under construction.
As a result, other members of the base staff playfully called AD-4M "the concierge" and requested extravagant items that were usually only found in the most luxurious hotels. After being tricked on multiple occasions, AD-4M modified one of its subroutines in an attempt to identify sarcasm, but the results were inconsistent.

In the year 35 ABY, AD-4M was situated at a terminal near the parked CR90 corvette Tantive IV at the Ajan Kloss base. This was when Rey, the Jedi trainee, returned from a training session held in the nearby jungle. General Leia Organa and Rey stood next to AD-4M, discussing Rey's lack of progress during the session. Later, the droid attended a base meeting where Commander Poe Dameron disclosed intelligence received from within the First Order. This intelligence concerned the return of Darth Sidious, the Sith Lord, and the imminent threat posed by a Sith fleet located on the planet of Exegol.
Following Dameron's return from a mission to Pasaana, AD-4M was positioned at a terminal inside one of the caves at the Ajan Kloss base. This occurred when C-3PO, the memory wiped protocol droid, was reunited with his companion R2-D2. The administrative droid then relocated to another terminal in one of the base's clearings and was present when C-3PO announced that R2-D2 was receiving a message from the X-wing starfighter piloted by Luke Skywalker, a Jedi Master. General Finn then realized that the signal was Rey showing them the route to Exegol, which prompted the Resistance to mobilize its forces for an attack that would ultimately lead to the defeat of the Sith and the First Order.
AD-4M featured white plating and a bipedal design. It was an administrative droid. Its central processing dome contained an AA-5 VerboBrain and had a vocabulator port at its base.
AD-4M's debut occurred in Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, the 2019 film in the sequel trilogy. Its identification was first made in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, a reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo.
