Admiral Harkov's fleet

During the Galactic Civil War, around 3 ABY, the fleet commanded by Admiral Harkov of the Imperial Navy participated in the Imperial's involvement in the Sepan Civil War. Subsequently, Harkov switched his allegiance to the Alliance to Restore the Republic and then engaged in combat against the Galactic Empire. Ultimately, Darth Vader captured Harkov and imprisoned him aboard his capital ship, the Garrett. Following an interrogation, Vader executed him. Despite Harkov's demise, his fleet continued to fight for the Alliance, but the Empire eventually destroyed it.

Organization

Admiral Harkov was in command of the fleet, supported by several officers, one of whom was Vondruln, who acted as his advisor when he defected. The Victory I-class Star Destroyer called the Protector served as his flagship. The Akaga, an EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate, was among the fleet's vessels. His fleet included at least two Assassin-class corvettes, designated Wurger 1 and 2. The Delta-class DX-9 stormtrooper transport and the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, such as the Toten, were also among the ships used.

The starfighter complement under his leadership included TIE/LN starfighters, TIE/IN interceptors, TIE/sa bombers, and the newer TIE/ad starfighters. Following his defection to the Alliance, Harkov's squadrons received the "H-" designation to distinguish them from Imperial squadrons. H-Alpha Squadron, a standard TIE fighter unit, H-Delta Squadron, a TIE interceptor squadron, H-Beta Squadron, H-Zeta Squadron, and H-Eta Squadron were bomber squadrons, while H-Gamma Squadron, H-Delta Squadron, and H-Beta Squadron flew TIE advanced fighters. Interestingly, Grand Admiral Demetrius Zaarin later adopted the concept of using a letter at the start of squadron names when he became a rogue.

Behind the scenes

The fleet's only appearance happened in the 1994 computer game Star Wars: TIE Fighter.
