Detailed Story

An Expensive Vintage

On the world of Canto Bight, a rich individual treats his companions to a bottle of rare Tusken Wind, valued at 10,000 credits. While these individuals enjoy their pricey beverage, a human male and his Rodian associate observe them, discovering that the Tusken Wind can only be found on the desert planet of Tatooine.

The Tusken Representatives

At Jabba's Palace, the Hutt crime boss receives a delegation of Tusken warriors, who voice their complaints about the Jawas and Imperials trespassing on their territory. Communicating through a translator droid, the Tuskens insist that these trespassers stop their actions. When Jabba states that he does not manage local traffic, the Tuskens counter by saying that nothing occurs on Tatooine without Jabba's knowledge. They demand Jabba put a stop to it or face the consequences.

Responding to their threat, Jabba's translator relays his message, indicating his tolerance but stating that some behaviors are unacceptable. Boba Fett tightens his grip on his blaster. Jabba assures the Tuskens that the problem will be resolved before moving on to his next meeting. The human and Rodian from Canto Bight introduce themselves as traders seeking to acquire Tusken Wind. Jabba declines to sell the rare drink and proceeds to consume a bottle in front of them. When the traders inquire about buying any Tusken Wind, Jabba advises them against seeking it out, noting that the desert wine is sacred to the Tuskens. He specifically warns them against ambushing the Tuskens to steal their sacred wine during their night prayers at High Moon on the Great Dune.

A Triple Cross

Later, at Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in Mos Eisley, the human and Rodian argue about their next course of action. While the Rodian takes Jabba's warning seriously, the human trader emphasizes that Jabba essentially gave them the location of the "juice" and devises a plan to ambush the Tuskens during their night prayers at high moon. He believes that they can amass great wealth due to the high demand for Tusken Wind if they succeed in their heist. Unbeknownst to the traders, a Jawa is eavesdropping on them, who then informs his clan and convinces them to raid the Tuskens for desert wine.

Without the Jawas' knowledge, they are being monitored by a IMG-099 Imperial Mark IV patrol droid, who reports to his Imperial superior. The Imperial officer is struggling to make his mortgage payments. However, after the patrol droid shows a hologram of the value of Tusken Wind, he decides to steal the beverage to cover his overdue payment.

On the night of the planned raid, the Tuskens gather in their settlement to pray under the high moon. Simultaneously, the human and Rodian trader make their way to the coordinates in the Dune, only to find nothing. They are then ambushed by the Jawa clan, who have activated several B1 battle droids and B2-series super battle droids for the hunt. The two groups are soon joined by the Imperial officer and several stormtroopers. The three factions begin arguing over the rights to the Tusken Wind until they realize that someone has set them up. In the distance, Boba Fett uses his blaster rifle to eliminate members of each faction. Far away, the Tuskens observe the spectacle of gunfire in the Great Dunes.

Jabba's Offering

The following morning, the Tusken clan ride their bantha mounts and collect the fallen bodies of stormtroopers, traders, Jawas, and droids from the dune. They proceed to Jabba's Palace, where they are met by Bib Fortuna and Jabba's Gamorrean guards. The Gamorreans raise their axes, but Jabba instructs them to allow the Tuskens to enter his throne room.

The Tuskens present Jabba with a large ball of threat wrapped in desert wine as a sign of respect. Jabba accepts their tribute as Salacious Crumb laughs and Fett observes in the background. Jabba reiterates his commitment to ensuring that they are not disturbed by the Jawas, Imperials, or other groups. Fortuna delivers the bad news to Jabba that a cartel from Coruscant has managed to create a synthetic desert wine, rendering the original Tusken Wind worthless. Jabba disagrees, claiming that the desert wine is invaluable. The Tuskens celebrate in his presence.
