Alfkenda was an engineering professional affiliated with the Nihil pirate group throughout the High Republic Era. Around 230 BBY, she was stationed on the Gaze Electric, which served as the flagship of Marchion Ro, the leader of the Eye of the Nihil. Her contributions were so significant that her living spaces aboard the vessel were considered some of the most luxurious, second only to Ro's personal suite.
During that specific 365 day period, the engineer was reassigned to another Nihil vessel as part of a large-scale strategic personnel shift from the Gaze Electric. When Ghirra Starros, a senator from the Galactic Republic who was secretly working as a Nihil informant, visited the ship to confer with the Eye, Thaya Ferr, Ro's helper, notified him that she would prepare Alfkenda's quarters for Starros' use. Responding to this, Ro commended Ferr, saying that the accommodations would be perfect and that she understood his requirements completely.
Alfkenda's character was referenced within The High Republic: The Fallen Star, a 2022 novel penned by Claudia Gray. This novel is a component of Phase I of the larger Star Wars: The High Republic transmedia initiative.
