Arhul Narra was a pilot of the human male variety who fought for the Alliance to Restore the Republic throughout the Galactic Civil War. After the Battle of Yavin, Alliance High Command gave Commander Narra the responsibility of being the leader of Red Squadron. When he became the commander, Narra requested that Lieutenant Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles stay in Red Squadron, but he emphasized that they shouldn't anticipate any preferential treatment despite their roles in destroying and surviving the Death Star.
Narra later commanded Red Squadron in a battle above the planet Vrogas Vas between the Rebel Alliance and Darth Vader in his TIE Advanced. Narra conceded defeat in the engagement and described it as one of the most devastating losses of starfighter pilots he had ever witnessed in a communication to General Jan Dodonna after the conflict.
Narra was killed in an Imperial ambush with several other Red Squadron members around 3 ABY, while the Alliance was stationed at Echo Base on Hoth.
