Ashe Javi was a human who first came into the world on the planet called Riosa. They were recruited by Cal Kestis on the planet Koboh, along with the droid companion DD-EC.
From a young age, Ashe Javi dedicated themself to the creation of music. The sounds of the local factory inspired them, leading them to compose music in their mind. Their performances eventually attracted the attention of an influential figure with connections to the well-known musician Max Rebo. Ashe initially anticipated performing on Chandrila, but they were surprised when the influential figure revealed that they would be performing on Coruscant. Although they initially enjoyed their time playing on Coruscant, they ultimately grew weary of the superficiality of the scene, where people were only interested in the next sensation.
Despite plans to promote Javi's image on billboards across the planet and throughout the Core, they chose to abandon their penthouse, record contract, and newfound fame, opting instead to travel to Kuat in pursuit of their artistic goals.
Javi soon discovered that the Kuat shipyards provided a rich source of samples for their music, later describing the planet's sonic environment as "filthy." It was within these shipyards that they encountered DD-EC, who was experimenting with recordings at a monitoring station. Once they joined forces, they decided to seek a change from the familiar sounds of cities, factories, and nightclubs, embarking on a journey to various worlds in search of more natural sounds. However, despite their travels, they never stayed in one place for long.
At some point during their travels, they arrived on Koboh and were drawn to the unique atmosphere and people, leading Ashe and DD-EC to settle on the planet in 9 BBY. Soon after, they were invited by Jedi Knight Cal Kestis to perform at Pyloon's Saloon, a cantina managed by the Latero Greez Dritus. Javi was drawn to Pyloon's unrefined character and expressed excitement about the establishment's quirky atmosphere, unusual clientele, and barely functional refreshers.
While on the planet, they dedicated their time to recording its ambient sounds for use in their music. On one occasion, Javi sampled the sounds of vulture droids from the mountains, an expedition they described as nearly fatal. These captured sounds were later combined with lofi Trandoshan funk, a unique sound that Javi insisted had to be experienced to be understood.
After their time on the planet, they came to believe that Koboh possessed a special, subtle energy that they had been searching for. When an Imperial-class Star Destroyer appeared above the planet, Javi resolved to capture its sounds and transform its aggression into a creative force.
