"BB-8 Bandits" constitutes the second installment within the inaugural season of the animated micro-series known as Star Wars Forces of Destiny. As Rey is getting ready to transport BB-8 to Niima Outpost, she observes Teedo watching them. Simultaneously, two bandits launch an assault on Rey, who manages to escape aboard her speeder. A chase ensues across the desert as the bandits pursue her. Despite their attempts to disable her, Rey outmaneuvers them, causing their speeder bikes to collide.
Upon realizing that Teedo remains as the sole pursuer, she devises a strategy and lures him towards the remains of a crashed Imperial-class Star Destroyer. Once inside the wreckage, Rey's plan unfolds flawlessly: a nightwatcher worm emerges and devours Teedo's speeder. Witnessing Teedo's hasty retreat, Rey and BB-8 proceed towards Niima Outpost.
