Bollux

Bollux, a labor droid equipped with masculine programming and coated in silver plating, entered The Lodge located at Fort Ypso on Vandor one day. He then informed Midnight, the barman, that he carried a communication intended for the droid known as SV-38P. Bollux asserted that he had personally witnessed Han Solo, the Corellian rogue, obliterate a Corporate Sector Authority prison from the surface of a planet in order to liberate his first mate, Chewbacca. Furthermore, he claimed to have aided Solo in the destruction of a war droids battalion under the command of Xim the Despot. He further stated his current employment involved working for a university situated in the Outer Rim Territories, where he was actively investigating locations and relics associated with Xim. Bollux had supposedly journeyed to Vandor based on an intelligence report regarding a hidden treasure.

Despite Midnight's initial suspicion that Bollux was simply experiencing a malfunction, he subsequently received confirmation from a former Corporate Sector official that the recently constructed Stars' End correctional facility had, in fact, been propelled into orbit by a Corellian who had infiltrated the premises to rescue a Wookiee.

Behind the scenes

Bollux made his initial appearance in the 1979 novel titled Han Solo at Stars' End, penned by Brian Daley. His introduction into canon occurred with a mention within the 2018 replica journal Solo: A Star Wars Story: Tales from Vandor, authored by Jason Fry. A droid bearing resemblance to Bollux later materialized in "Chapter 22: Guns for Hire," though definitive confirmation of its identity as Bollux remains absent.
