Bry was a male Hoopaloo thief who operated with fellow criminals Jorkat and Velek during the time of the Republic Era. In 90 BBY, at a celebration on the planet Serenno, Bry pilfered a purse that belonged to the Serennian Lady Jenza. Bry and his partners restrained Jenza alongside her brother Ramil, however, the Jedi Initiate Dooku intervened and confronted the criminals. Using the Force, Dooku threw the Hoopaloo through the air. He then revealed himself and fought Jorkat using an electroblade. In the end, the Jedi frightened Bry and his comrades away, rescuing Jenza and Ramil. Dooku later described the event in a holo-letter addressed to Jenza, a recording of which he subsequently showed to his newly-enlisted Sith assassin, Asajj Ventress, at approximately 23 BBY.

During the Republic Era, Bry, a male Hoopaloo thief, collaborated with his criminal allies, the Askajian Velek and the Karkarodon Jorkat. The three were assoiated with Renza the Hutt. In 90 BBY, Bry and his associates were in Carannia, the capital city of the planet Serenno located in the Outer Rim, at a celebration for the region's worlds. Bry took the purse of the Serennian Lady Jenza, the young daughter of Count [Gora] of House Serenno, during the celebration, snatching it as he roughly passed by her. Bry then fled and hid behind a repulsor tent, examining the contents of the purse. Jenza followed him and grabbed her bag back, and the Hoopaloo scolded her for this. When Jenza realized that a crystal that once belonged to her grandmother was missing, she questioned Bry, who pretended not to know anything about it.
At that moment, Jorkat and Velek came up behind Jenza, and Bry claimed that the girl had stolen his purse. When Jenza objected, Jorkat called her greedy and stated that the Hoopaloo had no credits; the Karkarodon suggested stealing the Serennian's coat to give to Bry, who agreed that it would warm his feathers. After Jorkat grabbed Jenza to search her belongings, and the girl's brother Ramil was restrained by Velek when he showed up to defend his sister, Bry suggested kidnapping the pair and taking them to Renza, but the Karkarodon was unsure whether the Hutt would be interested. Jenza bit Jorkat and got away from him, and Bry tried to catch her.

However, Bry was suddenly sent flying through the air, having been pushed using the Force by Jedi Initiate Dooku. Dooku had sensed a connection with Jenza, who was secretly his sister, and followed her. Bry yelled out, claiming that something had knocked him down when his confused Karkarodon accomplice questioned him. Dooku then revealed himself, brandishing an electroblade at Jorkat. Bry tried to step in but was pushed back by Dooku again. Velek was soon thrown into the Hoopaloo, nearly crushing Bry when the Askajian stood up to run away. Although Jorkat remained angry at Dooku, Bry begged his accomplice and the two of them ran away as well.
Dooku later described the event in a holo-letter to Jenza. Around 23 BBY, Dooku showed his newly-recruited Sith assassin, Asajj Ventress, a holographic data disk that detailed the events around meeting his sister, which included the fight with Bry and his associates. They listened to the recording, with Dooku commenting on the Hoopaloo, after which he gave Ventress several more disks for her investigation into finding Jenza.
Bry was a thief who lied about who owned Jenza's purse and acted as if she was stealing it from him. He was also willing to sell Jenza and Ramil to Renza the Hutt. Although he initially tried to defend Jorkat from Dooku, Bry was soon scared away by the young Jedi's skill. The Hoopaloo's speech was punctuated by squawks, and Jenza considered him to be scrawny and small.
Bry made an appearance in the audio drama Dooku: Jedi Lost, which was written by Cavan Scott and released on April 30, 2019. The spelling of his name was later confirmed when the script was released on October 1 of the same year.
