Renza, a criminal of the Hutt species, operated from the era of the Galactic Republic time through the Galactic Empire's era. This particular Hutt was regarded as both a monster and entirely devoid of humor. Commander Lina Graf of the Rebel Alliance confronted and ultimately triumphed over Renza. Furthermore, the smuggler known as Jaxxon T. Tumperakki once betrayed his companion Lando Calrissian to Renza, later asserting that it was merely a jest that the Hutt failed to comprehend.
During the Galactic Republic's time, Renza the Hutt was actively involved in criminal activities. In the year 90 BBY, the criminals named Jorkat, Bry, and Velek maintained connections with Renza. These three criminals disrupted a cultural celebration of the Outer Rim Territories held on the planet of Serenno, where they proceeded to harass Jenza and Ramil, who were Serennians and the children of Count Gora. Bry proposed capturing the children with the intention of selling them to Renza, but Jorkat expressed doubt as to whether the Hutt would find the deal satisfactory. Ultimately, Dooku, a Jedi initiate, intervened and drove the criminals away, thus rescuing Jenza and Ramil.
Prior to leading a mission during the Imperial Era, Commander Lina Graf of the Rebel Alliance engaged in a confrontation with Renza, ultimately achieving victory over the Hutt. During the aforementioned rebel mission, Graf recounted her previous encounter with Renza to Vaneé, who served as a servant to Darth Vader, the Sith Lord.
On one occasion, Jaxxon T. Tumperakki, the smuggler, betrayed Lando Calrissian, the gambler, to Renza, although he later insisted that it was intended as a joke. In 3 ABY, when Tumperakki encountered Calrissian, who had by then become the Baron Administrator of Cloud City, Calrissian brought up the incident involving Renza. Tumperakki then reiterated his claim that it had been a joke, attributing the misunderstanding to the Hutt's lack of humor.
Renza, a Hutt, was known among her associates for her willingness to purchase individuals; however, when contemplating selling children to Renza, Jorkat noted that she supposedly preferred those with greater mass. Lina Graf regarded Renza as a monster, while Jaxxon Tumperakki described her as an "overgrown slugball" entirely devoid of any sense of humor.
Renza was initially referenced in Star Wars Adventures: Tales from Vader's Castle 5, a comic penned by Cavan Scott and released by IDW Publishing on October 31, 2018.
