During the period encompassing 3 ABY to 4 ABY, Qi'ra ate a Caamasi cheese pie while in the company of the human Cadeliah, the successor to the criminal groups Unbroken Clan and Mourner's Wail. This took place at a Crimson Dawn base. Following Cadeliah's unsuccessful attempt to kill Qi'ra, an attempt thwarted by the Knight of Ren named Vicrul, Qi'ra suggested that the young girl try the pies. After resuming her seat, Cadeliah started to cut into one of the pies.
The appearance and identification of Caamasi cheese pies occurred in the twenty-second issue of the Star Wars: Bounty Hunters comic series from 2020. Ethan Sacks wrote the issue, Paolo Villanelli provided the illustrations, and Marvel Comics published it on April 6, 2022. The pie was previewed in an article published on StarWars.com on March 30 of the same year, preceding the issue's release.
