Cadeliah

Cadeliah was a human female who came into existence, born, from the union of two individuals who were heirs to opposing criminal organizations: Krynthia of the Unbroken Clan and Khamus of the Mourner's Wail Syndicate. In an attempt to conceal his role as the father, Khamus plotted to kill Krynthia before she could birth their child. To this end, he hired a group of bounty hunters under the leadership of Nakano Lash, tasking them with escorting him into the Unbroken Clan sanctuary. Upon discovering Khamus's true intentions, Lash assassinated him, thereby rescuing Krynthia. However, Krynthia succumbed to complications and died weeks after Cadeliah's birth. Subsequently, Lash chose to live in seclusion to raise Cadeliah, with the hope that the child could one day bridge the divide between the two warring syndicates. Following Lash's demise, Beilert Valance assumed responsibility for Cadeliah, at Lash's request. Valance brought her to Lowik, but after an ambush by fellow bounty hunters Zuckuss and 4-LOM, Cadeliah was entrusted to the care of Yuralla Vega.

Biography

Corellia

Cadeliah's birth occurred around 10 BBY. As the daughter of Krynthia from the Unbroken Clan and Khamus of the Mourner's Wail Syndicate, Cadeliah stood as the potential inheritor of two feuding criminal empires. To obscure his paternity, Khamus devised a scheme to eliminate his unborn offspring by executing its mother immediately following the Skirmish on Corellia. However, before he could enact this plan, Nakano Lash, a bounty hunter recruited to assist Khamus, assassinated him, thereby saving both the mother and her child. T'ongor, a member of Lash's crew, aided in their escape, reuniting them with the rest of the group, which included Bossk, Boba Fett, and Beilert Valance. During the conflict, T'ongor was killed by a stray sniper shot originating from Fett's blaster. This projectile was intended for Krynthia and the unborn Cadeliah, but Valance intervened by pushing Fett, preventing the attack. Weeks later, Krynthia died during childbirth, and Lash decided to raise Cadeliah until she reached an age where she could potentially end the crime war.

Ruusan

By 3 ABY, Lash and Cadeliah had established a hidden life on the planet Ruusan. During this time, Lash had been discreetly contacting Valance, requesting his assistance with the child. Lash then resurfaced into the public sphere, which prompted a series of investigations that led several bounty hunters to Ruusan. One day, while Lash was away, the Thisspiasian bounty hunter Ooris Bynar infiltrated their residence and held Cadeliah at gunpoint upon Lash's return. After a brief exchange, Cadeliah and Lash retaliated against the hunter, killing him and deciding to relocate permanently. Shortly thereafter, T'onga, T'ongor's sister, and Valance discovered Bynar's corpse. After questioning Lash's acquaintance in a nearby village, they journeyed into Ruusan's orbit in search of her.

Aboard Lash's ship, Valance defied T'onga's objective of eliminating her, as the restraining bolt she had implanted on him was damaged. T'onga was subsequently shot in the chest and severely wounded by Boba Fett, who had tracked them to Ruusan based on Bossk's confession. Valance initiated a brawl with Fett before being electrocuted and temporarily incapacitated, allowing Fett to assault Lash and Cadeliah. They engaged in a brief skirmish with Fett, during which he stabbed Lash in the chest. As the ship began to disintegrate and Fett fled the scene, Valance was compelled to abandon Lash to her fate after desiring to, yet failing to save his former mentor. Cadeliah then became Valance's responsibility, and they escaped aboard Valance's ship, the Broken Wing, just as the Unbroken Clan arrived with the intention of destroying Lash once and for all.

On the run

Cadeliah went with Valance to The Spur to facilitate repairs to his damaged cybernetics. The pair narrowly avoided an ambush by an Arcona bounty hunter while stopping for sustenance, before reaching Slade's Repairs, where Valance could have his palm blasters repaired and upgraded. Prior to this, however, the Unbroken Clan's general Vukorah had enlisted the services of the bounty hunting duo Zuckuss and 4-LOM to pursue him. The hunters swiftly located the repair shop and shot down the technician who was completing work on Valance. After a brief but intense altercation with the two, Cadeliah and her protector narrowly escaped once more. Zuckuss then disclosed to his partner that he had placed a tracking device on the Broken Wing. A severely injured Valance and Cadeliah soon arrived on Lowik to visit Valance's former lover, Yuralla Vega. Cadeliah assisted the man in limping to the rebel outpost, where he collapsed into Vega's arms while slowly bleeding out. In orbit, the Mist Hunter arrived, seeking an even greater reward.

Bounty hunter ambush

Zuckuss and 4-LOM soon made their way to the forested planet, bringing with them a cache of B2-series super battle droids. Meanwhile, Vega, Cadeliah, and other rebels transformed the mess hall's table into a makeshift operating table for Beilert. The bounty hunter was repaired, and a group of rebel soldiers ventured out to protect the compound from an unidentified presence detected outside. Valance barricaded the door, allowing Vega and Cadeliah to escape through a tunnel while he confronted the droid bounty hunter.

Outside, the super battle droids kept the rebel soldiers occupied, while the bounty hunter Zuckuss ambushed Vega and Cadeliah, striking the former in the head and stunning Cadeliah. Valance rushed into the forest to locate the two, discovering Vega being comforted by her husband, who assured him that she would recover. Reassured, Beilert departed to retrieve Cadeliah from the bounty hunters. Encountering the duo at the Mist Hunter, Valance negotiated a deal. He exchanged the rare fire ruby given to him by Vega to buy time as the Rebellion evacuated their base, taking Cadeliah with them. Cadeliah was now under the care of Vega and the Rebel Alliance.

Capture by Crimson Dawn

Shortly thereafter, Valance inquired with Kondra about Cadeliah, and Kondra informed the bounty hunter that she was well with the couple and their fleeing alliance. At the Temporary rebel cell base on Panisia, Cadeliah played with Yura and Kondra. When an Imperial assault group under Commander Ellian Zahra attacked Panisia, Yura instructed her to hide. While hiding, Cadeliah was captured by the Crimson Dawn assassin, Deathstick. She was subsequently transported to the Vermillion, where she was presented before Crimson Dawn's leader, Lady Qi'ra.

She then shared a meal with Qi'ra, several of her guards, and Vicrul. Cadeliah seized a knife and attempted to escape, but was apprehended by Vicrul. When Qi'ra instructed Vicrul to release her, Cadeliah resumed eating her dinner.

Cadeliah listens to Qi'ra's message.

Following the Battle at Amaxine Station, Qi'ra entrusted Cadeliah with all the credits she had acquired, hoping to grant the girl the freedom she had never experienced.

After reuniting with T'onga and Losha, Cadeliah stipulated that if they desired to benefit from her financial resources for their new establishment, she wanted to receive training as a bounty hunter from them. Her second demand was a sweet sand cookie stand in the cantina and book Max Rebo Band, which the two agreed.
