T'ongor

T'ongor, a male human bounty hunter, was the brother of T'onga, his twin. He was among the group of bounty hunters that Khamus from the Mourner's Wail Syndicate employed. This team, consisting of several hunters and led by Nakano Lash, had a mission to attack an Unbroken Clan sanctuary situated on the planet Corellia. During the operation, Lash took revenge for the death of her target by killing Khamus. T'ongor then alerted the other hunters about Lash's deception, stating the mission had failed. As they attempted to escape, Boba Fett tried to eliminate Lash for her betrayal, but Beilert Valance, Lash's protégé, intervened, resulting in T'ongor's death instead. Years afterwards, T'onga vowed vengeance for her brother's demise by pursuing Lash.

Biography

Life as a hunter

T'ongor and the crew encounter a wounded Beilert Valance

T'ongor, born as the brother and twin of T'onga, became a bounty hunter alongside his sister in the galaxy. The siblings were associates with Nakano Lash, a Nautolan hunter, and Jhorstek, an Abednedo technician. Around 10 BBY, the four criminals were enjoying drinks at Phelar Port on Eriadu when stormtroopers captured a young thief. While Lash wanted to assist the boy, Jhorstek and T'ongor decided against interfering, wishing to avoid problems. They observed as Beilert Valance, a former Imperial [soldier](/article/soldier], stepped in to defend the boy, attacking the [troopers](/article/trooper]. When Valance was shot down, Lash aided him, prompting T'ongor and the others to help the injured hunter.

A job with Nakano Lash

T'ongor and the crew gather for the briefing.

At a later time, T'ongor joined a team under Lash, who had been employed by Khamus, the heir to the Mourner's Wail Syndicate. Prior to the job, the hunters assembled on the Starskimmer, Lash's starship. Using a long-range communicator hologram, T'ongor reached out to his twin sister, inviting her to join them for a final mission before she settled down with Losha Tarkon, her betrothed. T'ongor expressed his happiness for her and ended the call, allowing Valance to use the communicator before Lash briefed the team. Khamus paid the bounty hunters to attack a sanctuary belonging to the rival Unbroken Clan on Corellia in order to get him close to his target.

T'ongor, Khamus, and Nakano Lash.

T'ongor went with Lash and Khamus while the Unbroken Clan's guards were taken out by fellow hunters Valance, Bossk, and Boba Fett. When Bossk failed to contain one of the sentries, Khamus started complaining about the hunters' performance. However, T'ongor used a jammer to block the escaped sentry's comms, preventing him from alerting the rest of the Unbroken Clan. Lash killed the sentry. After the other hunters eliminated the remaining guards, Lash, T'ongor, and Khamus entered the Unbroken Clan facility. Upon discovering Khamus's target, Lash tried to intervene, but Khamus killed the target. In retaliation, Lash shot and killed Khamus.

Shocked by Lash's assassination of their client, T'ongor informed the other hunters of her apparent betrayal, urging them to escape before facing the consequences of Khamus's death. Along with Lash and Cadeliah, the child of Khamus and Krynthia, an Unbroken Clan woman who was also heir to both syndicates, T'ongor fled. As they escaped, Lash assured him that they could escape together if he trusted her. Having been informed of Lash's actions by T'ongor, Fett attempted to kill the Nautolan, but Valance's intervention caused his shot to miss Lash and strike T'ongor instead, resulting in his immediate death. Despite T'ongor's demise and the mission's failure, the other hunters managed to escape. Ultimately, Lash went into hiding with Cadeliah.

Legacy

T'onga, unaware of the truth behind her brother's death, blamed Lash and vowed to kill her. When Lash reappeared in 3 ABY, T'onga resumed her former life as a bounty hunter to avenge T'ongor's death and restore her family's honor. When Lash resurfaced and became the target of many bounty hunters, T'onga joined forces with Valance and eventually located Lash on Ruusan. There, Lash told T'onga that she had not been the one to kill T'ongor, but that he had been shot from an elevated position while they were trying to escape.

T'onga hallucinates T'ongor in a near-death moment

Although T'onga was initially prepared to once again leave her life of bounty hunting behind once she had learned the truth, she later formed her own crew. During a battle, in her thoughts of death, T'ongor appeared to her in a hallucination, which reminded T'onga of what Lash said about the young girl Cadeliah, who could unite the warring criminal syndicates, ending the bloodshed that caused her brother's death. She later formed a new crew in an effort to locate the girl, making T'ongor's death mean something.

Personality and traits

T'ongor was a male human with dark skin, black [hair](/article/hair], and brown eyes. He and T'onga were born into a culture that valued the bond between twins. At the time of the job with Nakano Lash's crew, T'ongor was not involved with anyone romantically, although he was pleased for his sister when she decided to marry Losha Tarkon, whom T'ongor respected, noting that his sister-in-law possessed "strong bloodlines."

Equipment

T'ongor wore red clothing and white gauntlets, which included a wrist comm and technology to disrupt communications. During the mission on Corellia, T'ongor carried a brown satchel on his left shoulder.

Behind the scenes

T'ongor was shown in a flashback in Bounty Hunters 1, a comic penned by Ethan Sacks, with art by Paolo Villanelli, and released by Marvel Comics on March 11, 2020.
