Jhorstek existed during the Imperial Era as an Abednedo technician involved in the black market. In the year 3 ABY, while on the hunt for Nakano Lash, the bounty hunter known as Boba Fett located Jhorstek and subjected him to interrogation. Jhorstek gave up the location of the graveyard planet Galmerah, after which Fett killed him. Another bounty hunter, Beilert Valance, reviewed a scan of Jhorstek's interrogation; despite the audio being absent, he deciphered the Abednedo's words by reading his lips, thus discovering the location.
Jhorstek made his living as an Abednedo tech dealer in the black market, plying his trade throughout the Imperial Era. Around 10 BBY, the Nautolan bounty hunter Nakano Lash invited Jhorstek to a cantina situated in Phelar Port on the planet Eriadu. As they were seated at a table alongside the twins T'ongor and T'onga, the bartender apprehended a young thief who was attempting to evade stormtroopers of the Galactic Empire. When Lash expressed concern for the boy, Jhorstek cautioned her against intervening. T'ongor echoed Jhorstek's sentiment, stating that the thief's predicament was not their concern.

Lash remained insistent that they should assist the boy, and another bounty hunter present in the cantina, the cyborg Beilert Valance, launched an assault on the stormtroopers as they approached the thief. While Valance engaged and defeated the troopers, Lash departed from the table where Jhorstek and the twins were seated. Jhorstek questioned Lash's actions, to which she responded that Valance would inevitably be killed once Imperial reinforcements arrived. Valance moved the conflict outside the cantina, where he was met by the incoming stormtrooper reinforcements, who opened fire and incapacitated him. Subsequently, Lash attacked the stormtroopers, overcoming them with relative ease. Jhorstek inquired whether Lash desired him to repair the injured Valance. Lash agreed, instructing the Abednedo to charge it to her account.
At a later time, Khamus, the heir to the Mourner's Wail Syndicate, enlisted Valance, Lash, and T'ongor for a mission. However, Lash betrayed and murdered Khamus, subsequently disappearing into hiding. T'ongor also met his end, leading T'onga to hold Lash responsible for his demise, causing her to go into hiding. In 3 ABY, a sighting of Lash near the planet Kessel triggered a widespread search by numerous bounty hunters. Boba Fett, who Khamus had also hired on the day he was killed, located Jhorstek at the Safe House situated outside Phelar Port on Eriadu. Fett proceeded to kill the other patrons present at the bar and then interrogated Jhorstek. Jhorstek divulged a connection between Lash and the graveyard planet Galmerah, after which Fett ended his life.
Valance arrived at the Safe House shortly thereafter, discovering Jhorstek among the numerous corpses within the bar. Nine-Four-El, Valance's droid companion, identified Jhorstek, prompting Valance to recall their initial encounter. Following this recollection, Valance accessed the Safe House's security system, uncovering a recording of Fett murdering the patrons and interrogating Jhorstek. Despite the absence of audio, the cyborg was able to discern Jhorstek's words by reading his lips on the recording, realizing that he was uttering "Galmerah." Subsequently, Valance departed for the graveyard world.
Jhorstek possessed skin of a brown hue. During the incident at Phelar Port, when a thief was being pursued by stormtroopers, he strongly advised Nakano Lash against intervening, seeking to avoid imprisonment by the Empire. Furthermore, when Lash rescued the injured Beilert Valance, Jhorstek questioned whether he would be required to repair the cyborg.
Jhorstek's attire consisted of a white shirt beneath a blue jacket, paired with dark-colored trousers secured with a belt. Notably, he had a cybernetic left eye that emitted a red glow.
Jhorstek's initial appearance occurred, as a deceased character, in Bounty Hunters 2, a comic authored by Ethan Sacks, illustrated by Paolo Villanelli, and released by Marvel Comics on March 25, 2020.
