Khamus

A human male named Khamus, a criminal and the future leader of the Mourner's Wail Syndicate, was romantically involved with Krynthia, who was the heir to the Unbroken Clan, a rival criminal organization. When Krynthia became pregnant, they planned to run away, fearing their parents' reactions. However, Khamus secretly hired several bounty hunters to attack the Unbroken Clan's sanctuary on the planet Corellia, with the intention to kill Krynthia and conceal their relationship.

Khamus went with the group of bounty hunters, threatening them with the Mourner's Wail Syndicate's wrath if they failed. However, the Nautolan, Nakano Lash, had a change of heart when Khamus was about to murder Krynthia. To save her, the Nautolan shot and killed Khamus. Krynthia later died giving birth to Khamus's child some weeks later.

Biography

Secret relationship

Khamus was in line to lead the Mourner's Wail Syndicate, headed by his father, Lord Khamdek. At some point, he began a relationship with Krynthia, the heir to the Unbroken Clan, the Mourner's Wail's rival. Around 10 BBY, Krynthia became pregnant. She worried that her father, the Grand Leader of the Unbroken Clan, would try to kill Khamus if he found out the Mourner's Wail heir was the father.

Consequently, Khamus and Krynthia decided to elope. However, Khamus worried that he would lose everything if his father discovered the child. He resolved to eliminate his pregnant lover. He offered Nakano Lash, a Nautolan bounty hunter, and her crew 100,000 credits to escort him in assassinating Krynthia at the Unbroken Clan's sanctuary located on Corellia, a planet.

Double crossed

As the assault on the sanctuary began, Khamus remained with Lash and the human T'ongor, while Bossk, Beilert Valance, and Boba Fett, who were also bounty hunters, attacked the clan's guards. When Lash failed to kill an Unbroken Clan sentry, Khamus berated her, threatening her with the Mourner's Wail Syndicate's punishment if she failed. After Bossk, Valance, and Fett eliminated the guards, Lash used a grenade to breach the sanctuary door. Khamus, accompanied by T'ongor, then followed Lash inside, while Bossk guarded the entrance.

Khamus was killed by Nakano Lash.

As they neared Krynthia, Khamus rushed past the Nautolan, intending to kill his lover. Lash told the Mourner's Wail heir to wait, but Krynthia questioned his actions. Khamus explained that their child put him at risk of losing everything, and he prepared to kill her. Lash, experiencing a change of heart, then shot and killed Khamus. T'ongor informed the other bounty hunters of the heir's death, and Fett claimed that Lash had essentially doomed them by shooting Khamus. After Krynthia further explained the situation to Lash, the Nautolan and T'ongor escorted the Unbroken Clan heir out of the sanctuary.

Legacy

Krynthia died during childbirth a few weeks after Khamus's death, leaving their child, named Cadeliah, an orphan. The Mourner's Wail Syndicate did not forget Khamus' death. Lash's actions destroyed the fragile truce between the Unbroken Clan and the Syndicate, reigniting the war between the two organizations. Khamdek believed that Lash had conspired with the Clan to murder his son, forcing the Nautolan into hiding for a period. When she eventually reappeared near the mining world Kessel, many bounty hunters, including those she had betrayed on Corellia, sought her out.

Personality and traits

Khamus was a human male with light skin and blond hair. Despite being the heir to the Mourner's Wail Syndicate, he engaged in a relationship with the heir to their rival, the Unbroken Clan. When his lover, Krynthia, became pregnant, Khamus feared that having a child with rival blood would cause him to lose everything if his father, Khamdek, found out. Although he had initially planned to escape with Krynthia due to her own fears, he became determined to kill her to conceal their entanglement. During the assassination mission, Khamus leveraged his status as a threat against Nakano Lash in case she made a mistake during the fighting.

Equipment

Khamus wore dark armor and black clothing, along with a purple cape. In addition, Khamus carried a blaster pistol.
