Yuralla Vega

Yuralla Vega, also called Yura, resided on Chorin during the time of the Imperial Era and was a human female. She shared a romantic relationship with Beilert Valance, a miner from Chorin who later enlisted in the Galactic Empire. After the mines of Chorin were depleted, the Empire abandoned the planet, leaving it vulnerable to attacks from raiders. Upon Valance's return following his discharge from the Empire, he met Vega, who recounted the events that had befallen their homeworld. Valance pledged to avenge Chorin against the raiders, but he arrived at their camp only to find they had already departed.

When the Sith Lord Darth Vader gave the order to eliminate the inhabitants of Chorin, Vega included, Valance intervened, rescuing them and relocating them to the forest world of Lowik. Vega voiced her astonishment at their successful escape from the Empire.

Later on, Valance sought her assistance in sheltering Cadeliah, the heir to both the Unbroken Clan and the Mourner's Wail crime syndicates. At this point, she had married Kondra, a lieutenant in the Rebel Alliance. Following a clash with bounty hunters pursuing Cadeliah, Vega became her new guardian as Valance departed Lowik. Subsequently, Vega left Lowik with Cadeliah and the rest of the Rebel Alliance.

Biography

During the Imperial Era, Yuralla Vega, a human female, lived on the planet of Chorin. Around 13 BBY, she and Beilert Valance, who worked as a miner, were in love. Vega expressed a desire for a particular stary moment to last forever, but Valance assured her they would create a lifetime of memories. However, Valance later decided he would leave Chorin. Looking at the stars in the Itani Nebula close to the Hydian Way, Valance explained his decision to Vega, stating that he was leaving Chorin to become a pilot in the Galactic Empire. Before his departure, Vega gifted him a gem, specifically a fire ruby, as a keepsake.

After Valance's departure, the Empire plundered Chorin's mines and then abandoned its residents, leaving them vulnerable to raiders. Although the residents fought back, many miners were killed and the settlement was devastated. After discovering the miners' graves, Valance encountered Vega, who told him what had transpired in his absence. Valance vowed to avenge the raiders and set out to find them. Despite Vega's pleas for him to stay, he left, only to find the raiders' camp already abandoned.

After Valance betrayed Vader, the Sith Lord commanded the extermination of Chorin's residents. However, Valance rescued them before the stormtroopers could destroy the settlement. Valance brought Vega and the others to the rebel outpost on the forest world of Lowik. Vega expressed her disbelief that they had successfully evaded the Empire. Valance inquired with the rebels Gita and Aeliar about the safety of Vega and the other Chorin residents on Lowik. Gita reassured him and offered him a place to stay. Valance declined and left Lowik to attend to his own affairs. Before he left, he returned the gem Vega had given him.

Yura and Valance crossed paths again after he was severely injured protecting Cadeliah. She was instrumental in restoring the cyborg, and he later created a diversion to allow her and Cadeliah to escape the bounty hunters Zuckuss and 4-LOM. Her former love successfully negotiated with the hunters, but the rebel outpost had to be evacuated. Valance entrusted Cadeliah to Vega's care, and Vega, along with her husband and Cadeliah, fled Lowik.

They eventually arrived at Panisia, where they lived in a rebel base until the base's location was revealed to the Empire by Deathstick, a Crimson Dawn assassin, who subsequently bombed the base. While it was assumed that everyone present had died, Cadeliah was captured by Deathstick and taken to Lady Qi'ra, the leader of Crimson Dawn, and Vega and Kondra survived.
