The Cargamalis Street Wars represent a series of skirmishes between rival gangs residing in the slums of Cargamalis, occurring some time before the Galactic Empire's Iron Blockade of the Anoat sector in 7981 C.R.C.. Due to the prevalence of blaster scarcity during these conflicts, the inhabitants of Cargamalis resorted to alternative combat methods, utilizing weapons ranging from shock rods to vibroknives. However, plasma rockets were used at least once.
Bohento Splinth, an Aqualish, the human known as "Happy" Dapp, and I'dreth, a Bith who served as a sniper, were all participants in the Cargamalis Street Wars. Furthermore, a number of Commander Bragh's Imperial Purge Troopers were recruited from the gangs engaged in the Cargamalis Street Wars.
The first mention of the Cargamalis Street Wars occurred in Star Wars: Uprising, a canon video game for mobile devices. This game was a collaborative effort by Kabam, Disney Interactive, and Lucasfilm, designed for iOS and Android platforms. It launched on September 10, 2015, but was discontinued on November 17, 2016. Within the game, references to the Street Wars appeared in the dialogue preceding the Story Missions titled "One Codebreaker, Please" and "Reinforcements," as well as in the character profiles of I'dreth and the character identified as "Cargamalis Street Warrior."
