Stone (clone trooper)
Stone, identified as CC-5869, was a clone shock trooper within the Coruscant Guard, an elite unit of the Grand Army of the Republic, and he achieved the rank of Clone Commander. During the period of the Clone Wars, he functioned as a bodyguard for Junior Representative Jar Jar Binks during an assignment that took place on Florrum.
Biography
CC-5869, later known as Stone, originated from the planet Kamino as one of the countless clones derived from the bounty hunter Jango Fett to fight for the Grand Army of the Republic. The Clone Commander served as a clone shock trooper within the ranks of the Coruscant Guard throughout the Clone Wars. Stone's exceptional combat capabilities frequently resulted in him spending extended periods of time away from the war's front lines, stationed instead on the Republic's core world. Following the capture of Count Dooku by Captain Hondo Ohnaka and his pirates on Florrum, Stone and his [squad](/article/squad] accompanied Senator Kharrus in addition to Junior Representative Jar Jar Binks for the purpose of negotiating the release of the Separatist Head of State. However, their starship was brought down by a group of renegade pirates commanded by Turk Falso, leading to a crash within the Doshar fields. This crash resulted in the death of Kharrus and both clone pilots, including one named Mack. The surviving clone troopers then proceeded toward Ohnaka's base, although the Gungan politician took command of the unit, no longer under Stone's leadership.
