Kharrus was a politician of the Gran male species. During the Clone Wars, he held the position of senator representing Kinyen within the Republic Senate. He maintained an alliance with Senator Padmé Amidala. After Count Dooku, who led the Confederacy of Independent Systems, was taken as a prisoner by pirate Hondo Ohnaka and his gang, Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine dispatched Senator Kharrus, accompanied by Junior Representative Jar Jar Binks and several clone shock troopers from the Coruscant Guard, to deliver ransom funds to Ohnaka's base located on Florrum. Tragically, Kharrus died, along with two clone pilots, when their Nu-class attack/transport shuttle crashed onto the planet's surface. Binks and the surviving clone troopers buried him near the crash site, and then proceeded to carry out the mission in honor of the deceased senator.
Kharrus made his initial appearance in the feature film that marked the series' debut on August 15, 2008. He later appeared in the first season episode "Dooku Captured," which was broadcast on January 2, 2009, without any spoken dialogue. Corey Burton provided his voice in "The Gungan General," which aired on January 9th, 2009.
