The Chamber of Reason existed as one of the ancient Meditation Chambers used by the Jedi Order for centuries upon the planet Koboh situated in the Outer Rim. It was built in Koboh's Basalt Forest area, in proximity to the Forest Array. The chamber was known for its perplexing puzzles, which caused at least one Jedi Padawan to become annoyed when they reached a standstill. Before Dagan Gera, a Jedi Knight, risked traveling through the Koboh Abyss to reach the hidden world of Tanalorr, several Jedi held discussions within the chamber regarding the progress of Jedi Master Santari Khri's research concerning Koboh and its Abyss. Sometime in the past, an unknown entity etched an encoded message onto one of the chamber's walls, requesting the recipient to meet them later at their agreed upon location. The Chamber of Reason, which had multiple levels, was equipped with a number of altered orb amplifiers that, when powered, generated bridges made of Koboh matter, which allowed people to traverse the large spaces between the chamber's platforms. A tuner device dating back to the High Republic Era was required to enter the chamber, activating a lift that descended into the depths beneath the Basalt Forest.
IGN initially revealed the Chamber of Reason in a video as a side quest featured in the video game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. This chamber became an optional area after players unlocked the High Republic Era tuner device early in the game's story. Within the chamber, players had the opportunity to find 5 Databank entries, a datadisc, the Diligence emitter, and the Dexterity perk, which increased the amount of damage inflicted on opponents when hit by a lightsaber throw.
