Ciaox Verith system

The Ciaox Verith system was situated within the Inner Rim Territories. In 5 ABY, the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing of the Galactic Empire made a stop in this star system en route to the planet of Chadawa. The New Republic Star Destroyer, which had been refitted and named Deliverance, followed the Imperial fighter wing to this system. Subsequently, it launched an attack, with a portion of its starfighter wing managing to confront the 204th before the Imperial starships could make their escape.

Description

This star system, known as the Ciaox Verith system, was located at the intersection of both the Inner Rim Territories and the Trailing Sectors. Within the system, a gas giant was in orbit.

History

While traveling from Fedovoi End to Chadawa, the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing paused in the Ciaox Verith system.

During 5 ABY, the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing of the Galactic Empire made a stop in the Ciaox Verith system as it traveled between Fedovoi End and Chadawa, two Inner Rim worlds. As the 204th was conducting a combat exercise above a gas giant, the New Republic refitted Star Destroyer Deliverance appeared. It had been tracking a comm signal emitted by the 204th's bulk freighter Yadeez. The signal had been arranged by Yrica Quell, a member of the 204th who was attempting to sabotage the unit.

General Hera Syndulla commanded the Deliverance. It emerged from hyperspace amidst a jade-green plasma storm, but was still able to locate the 204th using its scanners. A portion of the Deliverance's starfighter wingStarfighter Commander Wyl Lark and the X-wing starfighters of Flare Squadron—advanced and engaged the Imperial fighter wing. Simultaneously, the refitted Star Destroyer hurried to get within firing range and deploy the remainder of its starfighter wing. One TIE from the 204th was destroyed, and Lieutenant Lourgh T'oknell of Flare Squadron was killed, before the 204th's fighters were called back to the Yadeez and the Imperial fighter wing's starships jumped into hyperspace. The Deliverance and its wing pursued the Imperial unit across other star systems in the region, tracking it using further comm bursts.
