Dark Times 4: The Path to Nowhere, Part 4 represents the fourth installment within the Star Wars: Dark Times comic book saga.

Publisher's summary

At what point do the ends justify the means, and how many compromises of morality can be excused by a single act of virtue? Jedi Dass Jennir, in his efforts to aid his comrade Bomo Greenbark, has been compelled to make a series of morally ambiguous choices—with the most recent being the most potentially devastating.

Or perhaps this is the ultimate manifestation of Palpatine's wickedness? The Jedi, stripped of their authority and their organization shattered, are now forced to operate as outlaws and transgressors in order to fulfill what was once their sworn duty.

The age of darkness has only just begun, yet Dass Jennir finds himself so deeply immersed within it that he questions his ability to ever return to the light!

Plot summary

Following an infiltration of the slavers' encampment and the grim discovery of Bomo Greenbark's wife, Mesa's, demise, the Jedi Dass Jennir embarks on a solitary quest to ascertain the location of Resa. After extracting information from a Zabrak regarding the slave trader, Jennir arrives at the estate of a Chagrian known as Orso Meeto. Meeto provides him with the coordinates of the buyer, a human named Dezono Qua. After finishing his business with Meeto, Jennir returns to the Uhumele and sets course for Esseles in hopes of locating Bomo's daughter. Concurrently, on New Plympto, while a segment of the Imperial Fleet remains stationed there following the Battle of Half-Axe Pass, Commanders Vill and Appo engage in a discussion concerning the theft of a Nimbus Starfighter and a prospective mission to the world of Murkhana.
