Devin Hvitur, a Force-sensitive youngster originating from Bespin, had his name recorded within a memory crystal following the execution of Order 66. Subsequent to Darth Vader's capture of Jedi Chief Librarian Jocasta Nu, Imperial shock troopers serving the Galactic Empire subjected Nu to a search, uncovering the aforementioned memory crystal. After Vader's analysis of this crystal, he came to the realization that it contained a roster of Force-sensitive children, individuals previously identified as targets by the now-defunct Jedi Order, with Hvitur's name included on the list.
Nu was cognizant of the fact that Darth Sidious, operating under the guise of Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine, who was also Vader's Sith Master, was actively seeking this list, even during his tenure as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic throughout the Clone Wars. Nu suspected that Sidious's motive was to create additional Sith warriors. Following Nu's revelation of Vader's former identity, the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, Vader eliminated all of the shock troopers. Subsequently, he also killed Nu and reported to his master that she had attempted an escape, leading to her demise. When Sidious inquired whether Vader had obtained any information from Nu, Vader stated that he had gained no new knowledge.
