Empress Teta system's star
The central celestial body of the Empress Teta system resided in the Deep Core and Interior regions of the galaxy, specifically in the Koros sector. Its location was pinpointed at grid square L-10 on the Standard Galactic Grid. This star was orbited by the planet Empress Teta, its red moon Atale, along with a further eight planetary bodies. Like the entire system it illuminated, the star was situated on the hyperspace routes comprising the Byss Run, Carbonite Run, and Koros Trunk Line.
A complete orbit around the sun required 359 days for Empress Teta, with each day lasting 23.5 hours. Within the Royal District of Cinnagar, the capital city of Empress Teta, stood nine golden spires, each a representation of one of the planets in the Empress Teta system. These spires were aligned along the equatorial plane, designed so that the morning sunlight would strike them in sequence corresponding to the planets' orbital positions around their sun.
Behind the scenes
This star's existence is acknowledged in current Star Wars canon through Nexus of Power, a 2016 sourcebook for roleplaying published by Fantasy Flight Games for their Star Wars: Force and Destiny game. In Star Wars Legends continuity, the sun was known as Koros, a name that first appeared in "Byss and the Deep Core Part 2: Empress Teta," an article written by Rodney Thompson and released on Wizards.com on April 14, 2005.
