Freighter 2716, an Orca-class transport vessel, was employed by the Galactic Empire for the purpose of shipping an enormous kyber crystal to the Tonnis sector. To remain undetected, it was camouflaged as a non-military transport ship. During a short layover at Faos Station in 1 BBY, it was breached by rebel operatives Saw Gerrera, Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, and Chopper. Upon Gerrera's unearthing of the freighter's payload, he connected the crystal to the ship's hyperdrive in order to fashion an explosive device. This resulted in the annihilation of both the freighter and the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer it was meeting when the device detonated.
