Biography

Co-pilot of Fortitude

During the war between the Resistance and the First Order, Gandris Dyun, a human lieutenant, served the Resistance. He was the co-pilot of the YC-123B transport hauler known as the Fortitude, serving under Captain Dreanna Conunda. His primary responsibility was managing the transport's defensive systems, while Conunda navigated the dangerous extraction and insertion missions. Dyun also maintained awareness of potential threats and hazards, allowing Conunda to focus on finding the safest route to and from the landing zones. The Fortitude became known as the "lucky lander" among Resistance members due to its success in retrieving and delivering soldiers from combat zones.

In 35 ABY, Dyun and Conunda were stationed at a base on the moon [Ajan Kloss](/article/ajan_kloss] with the rest of the Resistance forces. Rumors spread among the Resistance staff that their relationship was more than professional. In that year, the Resistance launched an attack from Ajan Kloss targeting the Sith Eternal's forces on the planet Exegol. The Fortitude was chosen to carry the Resistance's landing team, which included the orbak riders of Company 77, a group of First Order defectors.

Battle of Exegol

While en route to Exegol, General [Finn](/article/finn], the leader of the landing party, replaced Dyun in the cockpit alongside Conunda as the transport traversed the Galactic Barrier. He remained there even after the Resistance's forces arrived at Exegol. The initial plan was for the Fortitude to land on Exegol's surface to destroy a [navigation tower](/article/navigation_tower] essential for launching the Sith Eternal's fleet, known as the Final Order. However, Finn redirected the transport to land on the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer Steadfast after the launch signal was transferred there. As Conunda prepared for the difficult landing, Finn and [Jannah](/article/jannah], the leader of Company 77, exited the cockpit to prepare, allowing Dyun to enter from the cabin and sit beside Conunda.

The Fortitude landed successfully, and after the landing crew disabled the launch signal, most of the survivors returned to the Fortitude, which then departed from the Star Destroyer's surface. With the help of the Citizens' Fleet, the Resistance managed to defeat the remaining Sith forces on Exegol. Subsequently, the Fortitude and numerous other vessels returned to Ajan Kloss, where the Resistance and its allies celebrated their hard-fought victory.

Personality and traits

Dyun and Conunda demonstrated the required synergy and compatibility for the mostly unspoken coordination their work demanded. He had fair skin and blond hair.
