Dreanna Conunda was a pilot of human descent. She served as a flight instructor at the New Republic academy situated on the planet Chandrila. Additionally, she functioned as a test pilot for the Corellian Engineering Corporation. By the time 35 ABY arrived, she had enlisted with the Resistance to fight in their war against the First Order, acting as a pilot stationed at the Resistance base located on the moon Ajan Kloss. Conunda held the rank of captain aboard the YC-123B transport hauler known as the Fortitude, with Lieutenant Gandris Dyun serving as her co-pilot. Their bond was strong, and rumors circulated suggesting their relationship extended beyond professional boundaries.
During the attack launched by the Resistance against the Sith Eternal's military forces on the planet Exegol, Conunda piloted the Fortitude, carrying the Resistance's Exegol landing team through the Galactic Barrier that isolated Exegol from the rest of the galaxy. Upon reaching their destination, she identified the navigation tower slated for destruction by the landing team; however, it was deactivated before the [transport](/article/transport] could arrive.
Subsequently, General Finn directed Conunda to land the Fortitude on the surface of the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer called the Steadfast, which had become the new source of the signal emanating from the tower. The landing team disembarked and successfully neutralized the signal. Following this, Conunda extracted the survivors from the Star Destroyer's surface, ultimately returning them to Ajan Kloss after the Resistance secured victory.
Captain Dreanna Conunda, a human, distinguished herself as one of the youngest flight instructors at the New Republic's training academy on Chandrila during the reign of the Republic. In addition to teaching, Conunda also served as a test pilot for the Corellian Engineering Corporation, dividing her [time](/article/time] between these roles according to the school year schedule. However, during the war between the First Order and the Resistance, she instead took on the role of Resistance pilot for the YC-123B transport hauler Fortitude, a vessel that earned the nickname "lucky lander" among the troops due to its consistently successful record of deploying and retrieving soldiers from combat zones. Operating from the Resistance base on the moon Ajan Kloss, Conunda's co-pilot on the Fortitude was Lieutenant Gandris Dyun.

In 35 ABY, the Resistance devised a plan to attack the forces of the Sith Eternal, who were preparing for launch from the Unknown Regions planet Exegol. Information provided by the droid D-O about the planet's surface revealed that the Sith Eternal's fleet, the Final Order, depended on a navigation tower for launch. Consequently, the Resistance planned to deploy their Exegol landing team to destroy this tower. This team, which included numerous orbak riders from Company 77, a group of First Order defectors, was embarked on the Fortitude, designated as the sole insertion vehicle for the ground forces. Conunda, along with the rest of the Resistance's forces, then navigated a route provided by the Jedi Rey through the Galactic Barrier, a challenging region of hyperspace anomalies separating Exegol from most of the known galaxy.

During the journey, General Finn, a key leader within the Resistance, replaced Dyun in the cockpit and sat alongside Conunda as they arrived above Exegol. They witnessed the multitude of Xyston-class Star Destroyers belonging to the Sith fleet, which immediately opened fire on the Resistance vessels. Resistance General Poe Dameron instructed his forces to align with the Sith Star Destroyers to prevent them from firing without risking friendly fire. Conunda skillfully evaded incoming attacks as she piloted the Fortitude toward the navigation tower, which she identified to Finn.
Foreseeing the Resistance's strategy, First Order Allegiant General Enric Pryde directed Admiral Frantis Griss to transfer the navigation signal to the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer Steadfast. Upon witnessing the navigation tower's shutdown, Dameron initially called off the ground invasion. However, sensing the signal's new origin through the Force, Finn instructed Conunda to land the Fortitude on the surface of the Steadfast. Finn then departed the cockpit to join the landing team in the rear, while Dyun returned to his position beside Conunda, who warned the rest of the crew that the landing would be turbulent.

With cover provided by the Resistance's starfighters, the captain and her co-pilot successfully evaded fire from TIE/dg starfighters and landed on the Steadfast's surface. They then opened the loading doors of the Fortitude. Led by the charging orbak riders, the Resistance ground forces deployed onto the command ship and engaged the Sith troopers who had arrived to intercept them. The Fortitude remained grounded as Finn and his forces successfully disabled the Steadfast's navigation tower, after which the surviving ground forces retreated back into the Fortitude.
With the insertion complete, Conunda launched from the ship, although Finn and his ally Jannah remained behind to destroy the Steadfast and prevent the signal from being reactivated. Ultimately, the arrival of the Citizens' Fleet in support of the Resistance, and Rey's defeat of Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious on the surface below, enabled the Resistance to secure victory at Exegol and eliminate the remaining Sith forces. The Fortitude then departed Exegol with the rest of the fleet and returned to Ajan Kloss, where it landed at the base, allowing the Resistance and its allies to celebrate their triumph.

Despite expectations from her instructors that she would favor small, agile craft, Dreanna Conunda was drawn to flying large haulers. She enjoyed the power generated by their thrusters and the challenge of maneuvering these bulky vessels in and out of spacedocks. The delicate touch required for this task proved invaluable when she landed on the Steadfast, making it an ideal mission for the former flight instructor.
When flying with Dyun, Conunda concentrated on identifying the safest routes to and from landing zones during dangerous insertion and extraction missions. Meanwhile, the co-pilot maintained active defenses and a broader awareness of the surroundings to warn her of approaching threats or unforeseen dangers. This collaborative relationship relied heavily on unspoken communication, which Conunda and Dyun were able to achieve due to their compatibility and chemistry. Some Resistance personnel even speculated that their relationship extended beyond professional boundaries. Conunda possessed light skin and dark eyes.
Dreanna Conunda wore a yellow flight suit paired with a white vest, harness, and life support system. She also wore gray gloves and a white flight helmet featuring both a blue and yellow Rebel Alliance starbird and a black and red bullseye, a tribute to her precision landing skills.
Dreanna Conunda was played by Andreea Diac in the 2019 sequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. In the film's credits, she is listed only as "Lander Pilot." The character's name, a tuckerization of Diac's name, was provided by the companion reference book Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, authored by Pablo Hidalgo.
